Chloe Siezega Makes Judson History

Chloe Siezega Makes Judson History

Addison, IL - On Friday, the Judson Eagles' Women's Bowling Team competed in the 2024 ISC Sectional Qualifier. There were four of these events held across the country. The Lady Eagles, who have had a remarkable season, showed up well in this event also.

The Eagles had three bowlers place in the top-40 out of 219 total bowlers. Paige Carpenter finished in 14th place, while Demi Kontos finished in 40th.

But the real headline is that Chloe Siezega finished in 2nd place overall with a total pincount of 1323 for the six games. She finished just six pins behind first place.

With the top-8 bowlers qualifying, Chloe will now compete at Nationals! She will be bowling individually at nationals. This is the first time in Judson program history that a Judson bowler will compete in nationals!!

The National event is set to take place April 15-20 in Jeffersontown, KY.

Congratulations Chloe on your achievements!

From Head Coach Biondo - This past weekend the Judson Eagles competed at the USBC ITC Sectionals event in Addison, IL

This past weekend some MAJOR history was made during the singles portion of the ISC's!

Junior Standout Chloe Siezega took 2nd place becoming the first player from Judson University Bowling to punch her ticket to the Nationals Championships that will be held in Louisville, KY in April!  Chloe posted games of 239, 233, 198, 190, 225, and 238 for a 1323 total and 220.5 average for the event.  In this sectional there were 219 competitors, and the top 8 players advance to Nationals.

After game 5 Chloe was sitting in 8th place just inside the cutline but a clutch 238 game to finish bumped her all the way to finish in 2nd place.  Chloe has taken her game to another level this past season in every aspect of her game – mind, body, and spirit!  She is a tireless worker and a fantastic leader and teammate all of which have contributed to her individual success this past weekend.

Chloe will compete against the top 24 players that advanced from across the country and try to bring home the first National Title to Judson University Bowling.

Sophomore standout Paige Carpenter also had another fantastic singles performance finishing 14th only 52 pins from making Nationals with games of 224, 208, 207, 192, 179, and 241 for a 1251 total and a 210 average.

Sophomore Demi Kontos made a major improvement from last years singles performance finishing 40th with games of 214,225, 172, 172, 190, and 211 for a 1184 total and a 197 average.

Sophomore Darian Mobley had a solid performance and  finished 46th with games of 145,171, 230, 201, 176, and 246 for a 1169 total and a 194.8 average.

Junior Isabell Cooley finished 75th which included a 202 and 204 game and a 1095 total and 182 average.

Junior Michele Chancey finished 119th but finished with a strong 241 game, Senior Alicia Anton finished 138th and struck out in the 10th frame of her final Singles appearance, and Brandy Stewart finished 145th.

On the Ladies side of the team event we were able to come away with an 11th place finish moving up from 15th after set 1.  Set 1 finished with a strong 226 game, set 2 we started slow but had a string of good games 197, 190, 224, 226, 185, 163, 159, and then finished day 1 with games of 200, 216, and 212 and 14th place after day 1.  Day 2 we had high games of 221, 225 and 214 set 1 and games of 214, 227, 238, 204, and 201 respectively.  The last set we were able to move up 5 spots from 16th to 11th.  The team knocked down 11,638 pins for the weekend and a team average was 181.84.  It took a 189.82 average to make it to Nationals.

Our Judson Eagles Bowling Family also want to honor and recognize our Senior Players as they made their final appearances as Eagles!  On the lady's side Alicia Anton, Neena Dingillo, Tina Tindall, and Colleen Maher.

The impact that each of you made to the program will not be forgotten.  Thank you for your hard work and dedication and because of your contributions you are leaving the program in a better place than when you all arrived.  You each have meant so much to us and we wish you all the best moving forward.  We are all humbled and blessed to have been a part of your College Journey and you will always be a part of our Judson Bowling Family.  Once an Eagle always an Eagle!
