Eagles Continue Sensational Season With Another Top 10
Addison, IL - This past weekend the Judson Eagles competed at the Warhawk Open in Addison, IL.
On the Women's Varsity side, the Lady Eagles ended with a 9th place finish! The team struggled day 1 and were sitting in 13th place 200 pins off the cut. After some lane strategy adjustments, the team moved up 4 spots with sets of 754, 667, and 814 to get with 39 pins of the cut line. The last set of baker on Saturday we ended on a tricky pair and couldn't quite getting anything going and came up 70 pins short of making matchplay. It was a great run to get us in the top 10 again!
In their six events, the Eagles have placed in the Top 10 on five occasions, with the outlier being an 11th Place finish.
Top performers were Sophomore standout Demi Kontos who went 24 of 26 on single pins for 92%. Sophomore Paige Carpenter had a single pin percentage of 88%. Junior Chloe Siezega had a 82% single pin percentage and a 78% multipin percentage for the weekend. Other contributors on the weekend were Senior Tina Tindall, Junior Michele Chancey, and Sophomore Darian Mobley.
On the Women's JV side, the Lady Eagles had a strong 3rd place finish! These ladies battled all weekend to make another cut and bracket matchplay. The team was sitting in 5th after day 1 but made a strong push in the baker format to place 4th for the bracket. In matchplay we went up against Mount Mercy and lost a very close match game 1 207-206. In game 2 some mid game struggles allowed Mount Mercy to pull away and win the match 2-0.
Some top performers were Senior Neena Dingillo who led the team in single pin percentage at 86.96% on the weekend! Junior Kaylee Mann had a very strong performance all weekend and anchored the team the entire time in baker games. Kaylee had a single pin percentage of 84% and a strike percentage of 40% on the weekend! Junior Brandy Stewart was solid as has now the #1 overall percentage on multipin spares on the entire team at 69.33%!
Junior Isabell Cooley had a strong second day in bakers and ended up with a 30% strike percentage. Senior Alicia Anton had her best performance of the season as she also stuck 30% of the time. Freshman Katelyn Kiefer continues to improve and struck 29% of the time on the weekend and a 70% fill percentage. Freshman Hailey Anderson who fell ill showed how selfless she is and made the effort on Sunday to come support the team!

Next stop is the Kegel Championship in early January at Stardust Bowl in Addison!
