Great Start To Eagles Bowling Season
Rockford, IL - The Judson Women's Bowling team began their campaign at the Golden Eagle Invite. On the Women's side, the Judson Eagles Women's varsity team had a very strong showing by finishing in 3rd place. Sophomore standout Paige Carpenter led the way with a 187.8 average and a 6th place finish individually. Also, just outside the top 5 finishing 8th was Junior Chloe Siezega with a 185 avg and a fantastic single pin percentage of 95.45% (21/22) for the weekend.
Top transfer Isabell Cooley had a single pin percentage of 85.71% in baker games, Sophomore standout Demi Kontos was at 90% single pins during baker, Sophomore Darian Mobley had a stellar multipin percentage of 75% during baker games. Michele Chancey came off the bench on Saturday to average 190 for her 2 games and Junior Brandy Stewart made 80% of her single pins on the weekend. This team was able to make its first cut of the season by over 200 pins qualifying 3rd but lost in the baker bracket 2-1 to St Ambrose.
On the Women's JV1 side they took home a 3rd place finish!! Led by Senior Tina Tindall who posted one of her best performances as an Eagle finishing 12th overall averaging 179.2 for the individual games and had a fantastic single pin percentage of 92.59% (25/27)for the weekend! Senior Neena Dingillo finished 18th overall with a 174 average! Junior Marisa Garcia had the 4th highest Strike percentage on the team at 36.62%. Other Contributors on the weekend were Junior Kaylee Mann, Senior Alicia Anton, Freshman Hailey Anderson, and Freshman Katelyn Kiefer who had the 3rd highest strike percentage on the team of 37.78%.
