Palos Heights, IL - The Eagles Men's Basketball Team surged in a big second half to claim a Saturday afternoon victory over Trinity Christian 79-61. The win is the Eagles fourth straight victory, and they are now 6-8 overall and 3-3 in CCAC Conference play.
Guard Finn Walsh posted 10 points in the second half alone, Kae Anderson and a returning Sam Ellis also added 8 points each in the second half. The Eagles shot nearly 48% from the field as 11 of the 14 players that got into the game, got into the scoring column.
Javaris Wiggins led all Eagles with 16 points. The senior is averaging nearly 20 points per game on the season. Returning from injury, Sam Ellis pulled down 11 rebounds on the day.
The Eagles are starting to climb the standings in conference play, and they currently own the second longest winning streak among conference teams.
JU will look to continue that streak when they host Indiana Northwest on Wednesday night inside the Lindner Center.
