Chicago, IL - A 6-2 to run to close out the first half and get the game tied at the break was a critical stretch for the Eagles. Then, in the second half, Judson dominated the Jaguars picking up a crucial road victory 79-70 on Wednesday night.
With the win, the Eagles stand at 9-12 overall and 6-7 in CCAC play. They also are one and half games clear of Gov St for the 7th seed, and sit just two and half games behind St. Ambrose for the sixth seed with the Bees coming to town on Saturday. Judson has seven games overall left in the regular season.
On this night, five players got into double figures with Javaris Wiggins leading the way with 19 points. Cee Jay Nwosu added 16, Anterrious Rhyan added a double double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, Kae Anderson and Gavin Alston each contributed 11 points each.
Another gold star goes to Barik Olden with 10 assists, setting up his teammates all night long.
In the second half, Judson shot 53% compared to Gov St's 27%. The Eagles were able to overcome 20 turnovers thanks to strong defense, and the Jaguars cold shooting night.
Judson again welcomes in St. Ambrose to the nest on Saturday as the regular season heads down the stretch.
