Elgin, IL - The first contest of 2024 was a home tip for the Men's Basketball Team. After a hard fought battle in the first half, the Eagles were able to open things up in the second half and come out with a victory on Wednesday night over East-West University 87-66. With the win, it pushes JU's winning streak to three games, and an overall record of 5-8.
It was a well-balanced attack for Judson as four players scored in double figures, and 10 players in total got in the scoring column. Javaris Wiggins led the way with 17 points and 9 rebounds.
Kae Anderson added 14 points, and played some tough defense along the way. The smooth shooting of Gavin Alston added 13 points, while Sam Stewart packed in 10 points down low.
The Eagles hard-nose defense had nine steals and seven blocks on the night contesting shots all over the floor.
"This team is starting to play together and find a groove," says Head Coach Bruce Fields.
Judson will look to keep things rolling as they jump back into CCAC Conference play on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Trinity Christian.
