Balanced Offensive Attack Falls Short Against Indiana-South Bend 85-71
South Bend, IN The Judson University Eagles Men's Basketball Team played a tough CCAC contest on Saturday against a top CCAC team in Indiana-South Bend. The Eagles lost the contest to the Titans 85-71.
Thomas Donati led Judson with a double-double with 16 points, 13 rebounds, an assist, and a block. He was 5-7 from the field and 6-8 from the charity stripe. Anterrious Rhyan led the starters in scoring with 14 points as he put in five field goals (two of which were from behind the arc) and made both of his free throws. Additionally, he contributed with five rebounds, three assists, and a steal. Jack Keller's three treys led him to an 11-point night which included three assists. Isiah Burd made his season debut and did not disappoint as he contributed with nine points, five rebounds, two assists, and a steal. Javaris Wiggins had eight points, four rebounds, and two assists.
"IUSB shot the ball extremely well today. We are still working on our team chemistry with so many new players this season," said Head Coach Bruce Fields. "It was great having Burd and Stewart back on the court today." Along with Donati, they showed how much stronger we will be as a team this second half of the season."
Judson (4-9, 3-4 CCAC) plays once more on Tuesday against Roosevelt in Chicago prior to taking a brief Christmas break.
