Huntington, IN An afternoon match for the Eagles, forced double overtime against Michigan Dearborn. Trailing behind in regulation being down 58-67 with four minutes left, the Eagles were able to make an 11-2 run tying the game and pushing to overtime. Leading for most of the first period of overtime, Michigan-Dearborn tied the game with a tip-in to beat the buzzer. The final period of overtime ended in the same fashion as the Wolverines hit a game-winning three ending with a final score loss of 90-89.
A key player for the Eagles was Thomas Donati and his efforts on defense and offense. Donati scored 23 points in the game and was to achieve the same number of rebounds as well with 8 offensive and 15 defensive totaling 23. His presence around the rim was evident with his 6 blocked shots. Three other eagles also had significant efforts on the offensive finishing with double-digit points. Anterrious Rhyan finished with 14 points going 2-3 from the three-point line while picking up five of his six rebounds on the defensive end. Jack Keller finished behind Rhyan with 13 points and six rebounds as well. Keller also contributed 1 block and 1 assist. Trey Spires scored 10 points and went 4-4 from the free-throw line. Spires stayed on his toes as he recorded 1 block and two steals.
