Elgin, IL - The Eagles opened up there CCAC home slate with a doozy as they welcomed in the #13 ranked Olivet Nazarene Tigers.
JU showed that they will compete for 40 minutes, but with the Tigers making 40 baskets, it was difficult to make any type of sustained run.
Javaris Wiggins led the way with 27 points, while Anterrious Rhyan added 16 points along with an impressive fast-break, hustle block on defense.
Head Coach Bruce Fields added, "When the 13th ranked team shoots the ball that well it is hard to come back. But I like our fight. We competed, and we will learn from this.
The Eagles will welcome in Governors State next Saturday as they continue conference play.
