Whiting, IN - The Eagles Men's Basketball team was able to open up CCAC Conference play with a win over Calumet 70-49 just before holiday break. That is also back-to-back dub's for JU.
In the contest, four Eagles were in double figures with Gavin Alston leading the way with 15 points. Javaris Wiggins had 13, Sam Ellis had 12, and Anterrious Rhyan added 10 points to pace the Eagles.
Judson controlled the pace has they outrebounded Calumet 44-36, had more points in the paint 26-18, and had more points off of turnovers 18-9.
JU will now head into holiday break building confidence. They will be back on the court Saturday for an exhibition game against Quincy, and resume conference play next Wednesday against St. Xavier.
