Elgin, IL - Senior forward Yeyahs Macias was named the CCAC Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending 9/1. On Saturday, Macias scored 3 goals to lead the Eagles to an 8-1 victory over Waldorf.
In Judson's first three matches, Macias has found the net in all three, with Saturday resulting in a dominating hat trick. For the season, she leads the team currently with 5 goals on 14 shots.
She has led the Eagles offensive attack to an early 1-0-2 start with a few more non-conference games left ahead of the conference slate.
Last season, Macias had just two goals for the year on 14 shots on goal. Now, at least for the start of the season, she has become the Eagles go-to attacker.
The Eagles on Tuesday welcome in St. Thomas (FL) for an early start time. The Bobcats are currently receiving votes in the NAIA National Poll. This is the first ever meeting between the two schools, and it should be quite a test for Judson.
