Elgin, IL - On this afternoon the Judson Eagles played host to the Waldorf Warriors. In the match, it was all Eagles as they scored 4 goals in each half to win big 8-1 over the Warriors. This is the first match in the win column for JU to go along with two ties.
The Eagles had multiple players find the back of the net led by senior Yeyahs Macias with a hat trick. Macias has scored in all three games thus far for the Eagles, and has 5 goals total on the year.
Daisy Garcia added two goals, and they were her first goals of the season. Payton Siragusa also scored two goals for her first points of the season.
Co-captain Kelly Leon added a goal and assist in the match. It marked her second goal of the season.
The Eagles outshot the Warriors 50-1 with 25 shots coming in each half.
Aside from a Waldorf breakaway goal in the first half, it was all Eagles in this contest. JU dominated in part to Waldorf playing much of the contest a player down, due to an early red card.
All three goalies for the Eagles saw action in the match with Eva Fernandez, Angel Burke, and Emma Schmidt seeing the field.
The Eagles will play host to St. Thomas (FL) in an early Tuesday start time on September 3rd. St. Thomas is currently receiving votes in the NAIA rankings so it should be a great challenge for the Eagles.
