Bio
Coach Richter is entering his second season as head coach of the Judson University women’s basketball program.
Prior to his arrival at Judson, Richter served as the Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Presentation College in Aberdeen, SD. Under Richter's guidance, the Saints developed several talents featuring an NAIA Scholar-Athlete and an NSAA Champion of Character.
A native of Phoenix, AZ, he attended Valley Lutheran High School in Phoenix, Arizona before attending and graduating from Valparaiso University in Indiana.
Richter graduated from Valparaiso University in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Business Management and Marketing, and completed his Master of Science in Leadership degree from Grand Canyon University back home in Arizona.
From 2012-2019, he served as the coach for the boys’ basketball program at Valley Lutheran. Following his time there, he joined the Arizona Christian University Women’s Basketball program as an assistant coach and video coordinator from 2019-2021. In his second year at ACU, the Firestorm improved their win total despite playing a COVID-shortened season and finished seven games over .500.
"I'm honored to join the Judson Athletics family," said Richter. "After spending time getting to know the players and coaches here, I knew that this was the place for me. I believe in the vision that Athletic Director Rick Williams has for the Judson Athletic Department, and I'm grateful and excited for the opportunity to see what God has planned for this place."
He and his wife, Amber, have three dogs – Leah, Piper, and Zoey – and currently reside in the St. Charles area.
