Eagles Celebrate Senior Day
Elgin, IL - On Saturday afternoon, it was senior day for the Men's Volleyball team as they wrapped up the regular season. They took on a surprising Governors State team who is receiving votes in the National NAIA poll.
The Jaguars took the first set, while Judson bounced back in set two, winning 25-22. However, Governors State would rebound, winning the next two sets for the match win. This time next year, this will be a conference match as the Jaguars will be joining the CCAC for men's volleyball as they are already a member in other sports.
Judson concludes the regular season at 13-13. They will go into the conference tournament before preparring for the NCCAA tournament on the final weekend of the month.
Mason Snodgrass led the way with nine kills. Grant Shipley was next with seven kills.
Before the game, the Eagles honored five seniors: Torrin Ley, Aidan Gibbons, Elijah Gregg, Elijah Wrobel, and Brendan Gibbons.
These five young men have done far more than play a sport. They've shaped a culture, lifted their teammates, and written a chapter of Judson Men's Volleyball that will be remembered for years to come.
It was also great to see Brendan begin the match with an honorary serve.
We continue to wish Brendan all the best, and it was great to get to see him walk out along with his fellow seniors.
Judson will now to turn the conference tournament next week.
