Palos Heights, IL - In a rebound game from a disappointing game last time out, the Eagles traveled to Trinity Christian for the NCCAA Regional Championship. The Eagles, 10-4-5 battled the Trolls (15-6) for a spot in the national tournament.
Their last time out, the Eagles were just off in their CCAC quarterfinal. Today, a much better pace and tempo.
In the 13th minute, Joao Caetano was able to find the back of the net for the early 1-0 lead. On the play, he was assisted by Noel Rodriguez. It was Caetano's sixth goal of the season.
The Eagles outshot the Trolls 6-0 in the first half taking the 1-0 lead into break.
Playing more their style out in front, the Eagles defense was not giving much up. While the Trolls outshot JU in the second half 5-3, Judson was still very much in control.
Goalie Ivan Dominguez was only credited with two saves, it was his 11th shutout of the season.
With the 1-0 victory, the Eagles become NCCAA Regional Champions and qualify for the NCCAA National Tournament down in Kissimmee, FL the week of December 2nd.
