Elgin, IL - The CCAC announced their season awards for Men's Soccer, and the Eagles were well represented after a very strong season.
The Eagles finished in second place for the conference after a 10-4-5 overall record, and a 7-0-3 conference record.
Judson received four CCAC All-Conference selections, and all were named to the 1st Team.
Those selections were senior co-captain Gabriel Uno, senior centerback Matheus Duarte Torres, senior rightbacker Wilondja Emena, and senior rightbacker Pablo Torres.
Of the group, the lone true goal scorer is Uno, who led the Eagles with 7 goals, and also added three assists for a total of 17 points which was highest on the team. Uno played in 18 of the 19 games, and started in 17 of the contests.
Duarte added three goals on the season, including a game-winning penalty kick goal. Escobar had two goals and four assists. Emena had one shot find the back of the net this season.
But the latter were chosen more for their defense and containing the opposition. The Eagles posted 10 shutouts on the season, and allowed just 15 goals on the season.
In addition, Judson centerback Luca Kallinich was named the Conference Freshmen of the Year for 2024. Kallinich again a part of the Eagles stout defensive unit, played every minute of JU's nine conference games.
As the #2 seed, the Eagles did suffer a surprising defeat in the first round of the CCAC playoffs. But, Judson will now prepare for the NCCAA Regional Championship when they travel to conference foe Trinity Christian on Wednesday November 20th, and 1pm.
The winner of that match will travel to the NCCAA National Championship the week of December 2nd down in Kissimmee, Florida.
