MIKE O'BRIEN '95
A four-time letterman, Mike O'Brien was a two-time NAIA national qualifier for the NAIA National Meet and three-time all-NIIC selection while helping Judson to three straight NIIC Championships. The NIIC Championships were the only championships won for men's cross country. In his senior season, he was named a NAIA All-American and then won the NIIC Championship guiding Judson to their third straight championship. That same season, he was named All-NIIC and then was voted the Judson Male Athlete of the Year. In his first season at Judson (1992), he qualified for the NAIA National Meet while being named to the NAIA All-District team as Judson finished third at the NAIA District meet. He earned his first of two NCCAA All-American awards as a sophomore and also was All-NIIC. Judson won their first of three NIIC Championships in 1993. The 1994 season brought a second NIIC Championship as O'Brien qualified for his second NAIA National Meet. He earned his second NCCAA All-American award, was all-NIIC, and finished second at the NIIC meet. He joins Judson men's cross country/track runner Dan Westlund in the Hall of Fame as the only two cross country members.
