HALL OF FAME 2005
CORUM TURNER att. 70-72
Although he only played two seasons for Judson, Turner's name is all over the men's basketball program's record book. Turner played for the Eagles from 1970-72 and is the 10th all-time leading scorer with 1,373 points in just 52 games. He was a unanimous NIIC All-Conference selection both years as well as the team's Most Valuable Player. As a junior, Turner scored 679 points for a 26.1 average and as a senior he scored 694 points for a 26.7 average, all four stats rank in the top-five for a single-season. His career points per game average of 26.4 still ranks as the best career scoring average in program history. He also ranks in the top-10 best for single-season field goals made, field goals attempted, free throws made and free throws attempted in both of his two seasons. In the 1971-72 season he made 192-of-274 free throws, the most made and attempted in a single-season. Despite averaging 26.7 points as a senior, Turner dished out 143 assists, for a 5.5 average, both single-season top-10 marks. Turner also holds the record for most points scored by a Judson Eagle in a game with 51 points against Northeastern Illinois on Feb. 16, 1972.
