Elgin, IL - In a week where the Eagles competed in five matches, going 3-2 in those contests, senior opposite Alyssa Gerzel was named CCAC Player of the Week for the first time this season. Gerzel filled up the stat sheet in a big way with 65 kills, 48 digs, and 2 double doubles.
Gerzel's jammed back numbers also included a 3.61 kills-per-set average, and .214 attack percentage. She also totaled 79 receptions, had a .975 reception reading, averaged 2.67 digs per set and nine blocks.
Two of the wins during the week included a big win at St. Ambrose against the rival Bees, and a five set victory against Mount Mercy. The Eagles also took on two more ranked teams in Park and Bellevue respectively.
Over the next two weeks, Judson will spend some much needed time inside of their own gym beginning with a CCAC match-up on Tuesday against Indiana University Northwest.
