Eagles Claim Regular Season Crown In Front Of Packed House
Elgin, IL - It was a packed house inside a rowdy Lindner Center as the Judson Women's Volleyball team continued their magical 2023 run.
For their annual Pack the Place night, the Eagles had an "Orange Out" in support of the fight against luekemia.
For a team that on the season has had a knack of dominiating set one and getting out to a fast start, found themselves down after the first set for the second straight game.
But, the Eagles showed that they are battled tested, strong-willed, and that they can come from behind in any situation. For the second straight game, they went on to win sets 2-4 to take the matches.
Tonight, it was against a very game Roosevelt Lakers team that took it to JU early on.
With the win tonight, the Eagles are 19-2 overall, a perfect 11-0 in conference play, and clinched the CCAC Regular Season Championship.
Tonight, JU had four players with double digit kills: Yomailis Fernandez, Kara Wicklund, Alyssa Gerzel, and Emmaline Davey.
Judson has three regular season matches remaining before the conference tournament. The Eagles final regular season home game will be on November 2nd against Indiana Northwest, it will also be Senior Day for the class of 2023.
