Tough loss For The Eagles In CCAC Opener
Hammond, IN The Judson University Women's Volleyball Team suffered a tough loss to Calumet St. Joseph tonight. Falling behind in the first set, the Eagles were able to make a comeback in the second set. In the final two sets, the Eagles were able to meet the competition point for point untimely resulting in Calumet pulling ahead for the win.
Carolina Cosme was the aggressor for the eagles reaching double-digit kills with 12. Following her was Brielle Wilkins with 7 kills of her own. It was a successful defensive effort on the court as Libero Kenia Diaz Vega led the team with 21, Alyssa Gerzel with 12, and Yomailis Fernandez with 11. In addition to digs, Yomailis also had her share of assists recording 10 on the match. Lindsay Lawlor continues to lead the Eagles in assists as she attributed 19 in the match.
We will see the Eagles next on September 6th at the Linder Fitness Center (Elgin, IL) as they take on Roosevelt in their first CCAC home game of the season.
