Adams Named To All Conference After Indoor Championships
On February 8, 2025, the Judson University Eagles showcased their prowess at the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships held at the Wellness & Recreation Center - St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. Competing in the women's track and field events, the Eagles faced off against formidable contenders from Olivet Nazarene, St. Xavier, Viterbo, St. Ambrose, St. Francis (Ill.), Trinity Christian, and Governors State.
Highlighting the event were standout performances from Aayla-Marie Adams who excellently competed in both the 200 meter and 400 meter dash events. Adams remarkably tied the school record in the 200 meter dash finals with a time of 26.81 seconds, earning a 6th place finish. She continued her impressive display, securing a 5th place in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:01.59 and garnered 13 total points single-handedly. Additionally, Adams was named All-Conference, finishing 3rd in the Triple Jump event, further propelling the Eagles' performance at the championships.
Contributing to the team's overall achievements, McKinze Kearfott and Katelyn Poe showed significant efforts in the 600 meter, placing 9th and 10th respectively. Elizabeth Lawrence also delivered a commendable effort by finishing 10th in the mile.
Looking ahead, the Eagles are set to compete in the next Chicagoland Championships scheduled for February 15, 2025, at North Central College in Naperville, IL. The team will carry forward the momentum from this event, hoping for another strong performance against their conference rivals.
The following Athletes have also qualified for the NCCAA Outdoor Nationals with their times, jumps and throws thus far. Nationals will be held in Columbia, SC. All of these athletes are ranked Top 1-30 right now in NCCAA.
