Carter Wins Hurdles, Personal Records Broken at Olivet Invite
Bourbonnais, Ill. The Judson University Men's and Women's Track and Field teams participated in an individual scoring-only meet on Saturday at Olivet Nazarene University.
Camren Carter highlighted the men's performances with another victory in the 60m hurdles. Carter ran an 8.30 in the preliminaries and an 8.27 time in the final. Dylan Bledsoe had another podium finish in the 1-mile run as he finished third with a 4:34.43 time. Chase Porsche had a PR time of five seconds in the mile as he finished 11th overall with a 4:42.93 time. Zach Fitzgerald finished in fourth in the Long Jump with a 6.44m mark. Ian Wiggan finished in sixth place out of 44 participants in the 200-meter dash with a 22.97 time. In the 60-meter dash, he finished in seventh place with a 7.10 finals time.
The women's 4x400 relay team (Cassandra Uribe, Gina Misek, Danielle Gibson, and Amanda Charpentier) finished in third place with a total time of 4:27.08. An individual women's highlight was Uribe finishing in fifth place in the 400-meter dash with a PR time of 1:01.08.
"It was a solid day," said Head Coach Cam Knudsen. "This weekend is something to build on for next week."
Judson heads back to Olivet next Saturday for the Walter Cramer Open.
