Women's T&F Competes at Benedictine Relays

LISLE, Ill. - - - The Lady Eagles journeyed to Lisle, Illinois Friday and Saturday to compete in the popular Benedictine Relays. Competing against numerous NCAA schools (DI, DII, & DIII) as well as NAIA and junior college programs, JU recorded a number of impressive performances.

Jennifer Donnell (JR/Schaumburg, IL) placed in both throws finishing 8th in the shot put (12.32m) and discus (39.56). The Sprint Medley Relay of Taylor LoCoco (SR/Cary, IL), Christyanne Wheeler (FR/Ramsey, IL), Savannah Henn (JR/Huntley, IL) and Anali Cisneros (FR/Elgin, IL) finished in 5th place running 4:56.87 while the 4 x 800 relay team of Chloe Burkhart (FR/Elgin, IL), Kristi McClure (SR/Wilmington, DE), Guadalupe Machuca (SO/Carpentersville, IL) and Anali Cisneros ran 10:39.65 to secure a 6th place finish.

"I saw good improvement this week, especially on the track. We have to continue to build on this momentum as we start to focus on the CCAC Championships in early May."

Next weekend the Lady Eagles compete in the Wheaton College Don Church Twilight on Saturday, April 22nd with events starting around 11:00am.
