Eagles Open 2022-23 Season With 8-1 Loss to Lake Forest
Lake Forest, Ill. The Judson University Tennis program began a new era on Saturday under the direction of Brett Bridel. The Eagles faced a tough foe in NCAA Division-III Lake Forest College. The Eagles lost the contest by the final score of 8-1. Since the match was played at an NCAA school, the match was played under the traditional nine-point system.
Hailey Haws and Anastasia White had Judson's lone win on the afternoon as they won their second doubles match 8-6. White also participated in a very competitive fifth singles match that went to a 10-7 third-set tiebreak. Samantha Brackenrig also took first singles to a competitive third set tiebreak after winning set two convincingly 6-3.
Judson (0-1) is now off until September 15 when the Eagles face Grace in South Bend, Indiana.
