Palos Heights, IL The Judson Women's Soccer Team advanced to the NCCAA Regional Final this past Thursday with a big win over Bethel. Moving on to the championship, Judson faced Trinity Christian College in hopes of glory. From the start of the game, the Eagles had to come from behind as an own-goal was scored in the 15th minute. Throughout the entirety of the match, the Eagles let out countless shots toward goal until late in the second half. Finishing regulation tied 1-1, 2 goals but the Trolls sealed the fate for the Eagles finishing the game with a final score of 1-3.
From the beginning of the game to the end, the Eagles kept constant pressure on the Trolls defense by testing their goalkeeper. Judson had a total of 26 shots with 12 of them being on goal. Lucille Klimkowski was able to go one for one as she put the lone goal on the board for the Eagles in the 15th minute. Alondra Blanco led the offense with 11 attempted shots followed by Mireyah Macias with 5 shots. Goalie Morgan Olsen was tested several times as well as with the Trolls having 4 shots in the game.
Judson this season has had success for the Eagle as they broke the .500 mark by the end of the season. Competing in both the CCAC and NCCAA Tournaments, the Eagles currently have a record of 10-9-1.
