Leon, Blanco, Wawrzyniak Earn Postseason Honors
Elgin, Ill. The Judson University Women's Soccer Team has three players that were honored this week by respective governing bodies. Alondra Blanco and Kelly Leon were named to the first team of the CCAC conference and NCCAA region squads, while Alex Wawrzyniak was a second-team all-CCAC member.
Blanco led the Eagles with 39 points and 16 goals. Additionally, she had seven assists while starting in all 19 games thus far for the Eagles. Blanco is also among the team leaders with a .457 shot-on-goal percentage and led the team with 43 total shots on target.
Leon was second on the team in goals with 13 and points with 37. She also led the team with 11 assists. She also had one game-winner this past season for Judson. Leon is coming off another strong season after being named the CCAC Freshman of the Year last fall.
Wawrzyniak had a strong sophomore campaign as she started and played in 18 total games, which was third on the team. She finished tied for third on the team with eight total goals and was third on the team in assists (8) and total points (24). Additionally, she led the team with three game-winning goals.
The Eagles return to play on Wednesday against Trinity Christian in the NCCAA Region Title contest.
