Crystal Lake, Ill. The Judson University Women's Soccer Team put on an impressive display on Wednesday as the Eagles defeated Calumet College by the score of 9-0 on Wednesday.
The Eagles scored early and often. In the sixth minute, Thasla Barkmann scored in front of the net off a great pass from Alondra Blanco. 20 minutes late, the two switched roles to connect on Judson's second goal of the contest. The Eagles' second goal was the first of a three goal in six minute span. Alex Wawrzyniak made it 3-0 in the 25th minute on an unassisted rebound tally. Blanco added her second goal of the contest with a goal in the 31st minute.
In the second half, Judson scored five times. Maria Artaloitia started off the half by finishing a goal off passes from Thasla Barkmann and Kelly Leon. Wawrzyniak scored her second goal of the game in the 50th minute (Leon assist). One minute late, Alondra Blanco scored unassisted to record the hat trick. Autumn Ratigan scored her first goal of the year off passes from Hannah Schmidt and Shelby Key. Ashley Portell rounded out the Judson scoring on a free kick from 30 yards out. Morgan Olsen made one save for the clean sheet.
Judson (7-4-1, 5-2-1 CCAC) travels to St. Ambrose to face the Bees on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
