Notre Dame, Ind. Judson University's Women's Soccer Team secured a victory in the final minutes on Wednesday to earn its second conference win against no losses on Wednesday in a 3-2 victory.
The Eagles scored the game's first two goals. Alex Wawrzyniak scored off a pass from Alondra Blanco, while Blanco then converted on a pass from Wawrzyniak to give the Eagles a 2-0 lead. Holy Cross evened the game by the 63rd minute. In the 81st minute, Natalia Ruiz scored the game-winner (on an assist by the reigning player of the week Kelly Leon) to give the Eagles their third and final goal. To make the goal more impressive, the Eagles were a player down for the final 25 minutes of the contest.
Judson outshot Holy Cross 29-21 and had six shots on goal to Holy Cross' seven. Blanco led the Judson attack with 11 total shots, including four on target. Ruiz had two shots on goal, while Wawrzyniak and Yetzemany Solis had the other shots on goal for Judson. Morgan Olsen made six saves on eight shots for Judson.
The Eagles (3-2, 2-0 CCAC) host Concordia (MI) in a non-conference matchup on Saturday at noon.
