Crystal Lake, Ill. . The weather could not have been better as the Judson University Women's Soccer Team earned its first win of the season on Monday in a dominating 3-1 win over Lawrence Tech. Judson scored early and often in this contest, including a pair of goals from Alondra Blanco.
Blanco scored her first goal in the 14th minute as she scored on a shot from the left side of the outer box past the goalie on the right side of the goal. Blanco's second goal came 15 minutes later when Josett Perez set up Blanco to give the Eagles a 2-0 advantage.
Perez got on the board in the 50th minute to take a 3-0 lead when Josett Perez scored off a pass from Kelly Leon with chaos in the box to give the Eagles an insurance goal. Lawrence Tech scored its lone goal in the 58th minute.
Blanco led the team with six shots, three of which were on target. Perez and Alex Wawrzyniak were the other Eagles with shots on target. Kelly Leon and Hannah Schmidt also had a pair of shots for Judson. Morgan Olsen made 2 saves on three shots on goal to earn her first win of the season.
Judson (1-2) faces Governors State on Saturday beginning at noon at the MAC in Crystal Lake.
