Young Finishes Second as Women's Golf Finishes in Fifth Overall at NCCAA National Championship
Palm Coast, Fla. The Judson University Women's Golf Team finished their team appearance at the NCCAA National Championships on Wednesday. The Eagles finished fifth out of six teams, finishing with 1088 strokes.
Brighton Young finished second overall with a 234 (+18). Young was the individual leader after the first day as she shot a 76. She finished the last two rounds with a pair of 79s and always was among the top-5 golfers in the standings throughout the tournament.
Grace Haakenson shot an 89 on day one but improved with each round as she finished with the final two rounds with an 87 and an 83 to finish 12th overall with a 259. Lauren Semerau was 23rd with a 294 after finishing her final round with her best round of a 95. Lynsie Pietrzak was 25th with a 301, finishing with her best round on Friday with a 97. Izzabella Cleaveland shot a 341 to finish 28th as she shot her best round in the opening round with a 110.
