Eagles Make History, Qualify For Team Nationals
Addison, IL - The Judson University Women's Bowling made history this weekend.
At the Stardust Bowl this weekend, the Eagles competed in the ITC and ISC Sectional Event put on by the United States Bowling Congress.
Across two days and 64 games, the Judson Eagles, for the first time ever have qualified for the Team Nationals Event.
The Nationals Event takes place April 14th thru the 19th in Las Vegas, NV.
For the Sectionals, Judson finished in 3rd place overall out of 22 teams at the Addison hub for the event. Addison is one of four locations that hosted sectional events with the tops teams from each location advancing to Las Vegas.
The Eagles total pin count for 64 games was 12,824. The first place team, Mount Mercy tallied 13,191.
Individually, Chloe Siezega placed 14th overall. The top seven bowlers advanced to Nationals.
Siezega, who did qualify individually last season, now gets to bring her teammates along for the ride this season.
Nationals is the pinnacle event for bowling across the country.
Ranked number 7 in the USBC power rankings, the Eagles are ready to cash in their chips next month in Vegas.
