Eagles Stay Hot, Take 2nd Place Finish
The Ladies were the Tournament leaders and were the number 1 seed heading into the final match against the number 1 team in the Country Mount Mercy. The team started great with games of 211 and 220 and had about a 35 pin lead heading into game 3. Mount Mercy then posted a 266 game to our 211 and retook the lead. With a deficit of about 10 pins we came up a bit short and fell 225 to 200 for a 2nd place finish.
Led by Senior Chloe Siezega who continues to add to her stellar senior season as she posted games of 205, 212, 210, 244, and 233 for a 220.8 average finishing 1st and earning the tournament MVP! Chloe is currently ranked 4th in the Country in average at 208.4 for the season!
Senior Brandy Stewart who is having her best season as an Eagle had a stellar tournament across the board. Brandy was perfect on single pins at 21 out of 21 and went 84% on multipins for the weekend as well as an overall fill percentage of 87.5%.
Junior Paige Carpenter continues her consistent and solid performances with 89% on single pins and 77% on multipins as well as she struck 50% of the time on the weekend. Senior Kaylee Mann also continues to add to her best season as an Eagle as she struck 44% of the time and was 83% on Single pins.
Newcomer Karlea Ceasario was again solid as well with 86% on single pins and 72% on miltipins and Senior Michele Chancey struck 38% of the time on the weekend.
This team seems to be peeking just at the right time as post season is coming upon us.
On the Lades JV side, we came away with a 4th place finish!
This team continues to grow and improve and was led by senior Isabell Cooley who struck 39% on the weekend. Freshman Izabel Krajecki was 75% on single pins and 67% on multipins on the weekend. Freshman Payton Kusilek had a solid performance going 75% on single pins and 72% on multipins as well as striking 37% on the time.
Sophomore Katelyn Keifer struck 30% of the time on the weekend and Freshman Alexis Vande Kolk struck 30% on the weekend.
Next up for the Varsity Squads is the final regular season event at the Hoosier Classic in Indianapolis, IN on Feb 15-16.
