Eagles Storm Into 2nd Place Finish
Addison, IL - The Eagles returned for their first event in 2025, the Storm Baker. On the Ladies varsity side, we came away with a 2nd place finish!
The Ladies were the Tournament leaders and were the number 1 seed after 40 baker games of qualifying. With high sets of 867 and 833 they were able to come back from a 100 pin deficit after day 1 to take the top spot. Heading into the bracket we went up against Carthage College and won 3-1 in the best of 5 match. Heading into the final we bowled against Calumet College, they went up 2 games to 1 and we were able to come up with a big 246 game 4 to take it to game 5.
Unfortunately we were not able to hold on for the win as Calumet won 226-189. Junior Paige Carpenter went 95% on single pins, Newcomer Karlea Ceasario struck 46.25% on the weekend and was a terrific addition to the team for our stretch run!! Senior Chloe Siezega was 91% on single pins, 82% on multipins, and struck 46% of the time.
Senior Brandy Stewart was 90% on single pins and 73% on multipins, Senior Kaylee Mann was 85% on single pins and Senior Michele Chancey was 83% in single pins on the weekend
On the Lades JV side, we came away with a 2nd place finish!
Starting the tournament with a 213 game was a great way to start. This team was able to make the bracket finals in which they lost to St Francis in the finals 3-1. Freshman Payten Kusilek had a 78% single pin percentage, Senior Isabell Cooley had a 77% single pin percentage, Freshman Isabella Martinez was 70% on single pins, and Sophomore Katelyn Kiefer struck 22% of the time on the weekend.
Freshman Izabel Krajecki who has been a tremendously positive influence on this young team struck 35% on the weekend, Freshman Alexis Vande Kolk had a 46% multipin percentage, and Freshman Moriah Greenwood continues to improve and struck 20% of the time on the weekend.
This coming weekend is Kegel Championship Tier 1 event in Addison, IL
