Judson Bowling Singles Update from ITC Sectionals
Addison, IL. This past weekend the Judson Eagles competed at the USBC ITC Singles Sectionals event.
On the Ladies' side, the Eagles had some top finishes in the singles portion of the event. Freshman standout Paige Carpenter had an outstanding day shooting games of 225, 164, 185, 218, 201, and 194 for a total of 1187 and an average of 197.83 for her six games. This placed her ninth overall, just one spot and 21 pins away from punching her ticket to Nationals. With that said a top-10 finish out of 216 players in her freshman season is an incredible accomplishment. Paige also finished ranked fifth in the country of all Rookie players for the 2022-23 season. Sophomore Chloe Siezega had a strong showing finishing 34th with a high game of 225 and a 187.33 average. Freshman Demi Kontos shot a nice 213 game and a 1018 total, Sophomore Brandy Stewart had a 980 total, and Junior Alicia Anton shot 977 total. Sophomore Kaylee Mann shot 971 and had a nice 203 game. Sophomore Kaitlynn Pillion shot 945 and had a nice 224 game. Freshman Darian Mobley shot a 937 total, and Sophomore Marisa Garcia shot a 920 total for her six games.
On the Men's side, the Eagles' high finisher was Sophomore Sebastian Beth, who started slow but kept grinding and ended with a very nice 255 game, an 1185 total, and a 197.5 average. Sebastian moved up about 80 spots with that game which got him a 34th-place finish out of 268 players. Other finishers were Jimmy Kontos, who started strong with games of 205 and 200 and shot 1059 for his six games, and Matt Sipes, who posted a nice 200 game and an 854 total for his six games.
The ITC singles event is a six-game event played on the Friday before the ITC Team event. The top 8 players advanced to the ITC Nationals in Las Vegas, NV.
