Top of the Order Provides Offense in Doubleheader Loss to (RV) St. Ambrose
Davenport, IA. The Judson University Softball Team traveled to (RV) St. Ambrose on Sunday to face the Bees. The Eagles lost both contests 11-2 (5) and 5-0.
In the opener, Judson scored their two runs on an error and an RBI single from Sarah Herbert. The offense from the top of the order was the highlight for the Eagles as CJ Adams had four hits across both contests. Gabbi Melchiorre had a hit, a walk, and a run scored, while Sarah Herbert also had a hit and an RBI. Sophie Schomer pitched 3.1 innings, allowing nine runs on 10 hits while striking out two and walking one.
In the second game, Adams, Admi Stephens, Tatyana Chaves, and Bella Lodico had hits for the Eagles. Lodico hitched 6.0 innings, allowing four earned runs on seven hits while striking out six and walking four.
Judson (2-12-1, 0-4) faces Trinity international on Tuesday for a doubleheader.
