Judson Participates in Augustana Invite
Rock Island, IL -- The Judson University Cross Country teams participated in the Brissman/Lundeen Invitational on Friday as the Eagles continue to prepare for the CCAC, NCCAA, and NAIA meets in November.
The women's team finished 15th in the team standings and were led individually by Chloe Burkhart (JR/Elgin, IL), who finished 57th overall with a time of 24:30.5. Marie Mayer (SO/Hampshire, IL) finished close behind as she finished 64th with a total time of 24:37.4. Anali Cisneros (JR/Elgin, IL) finished 92nd with a time of 25:15.8 to round out the Eagles who finished in the top 100.
On the men's side, the Eagles only had individual performances as the Eagles were led by Josef Sipiorski (SR/Algonquin, IL), who finished 161st with a total time of 28:32.2. Michael Mikhail (JR/Elgin, IL) had a total time of 29:53.9 for Judson, which allowed him to finish 221st. Matthew Thompson (SO/Mount Horeb, WI) finished 240th with a time of 30:23.7.
"It was a cooler night on a fast course against great competition," said Director of Cross Country and Track & Field Joel Popenfoose.
Judson is now off for a few weeks as they do not return to action until October 6 when they travel to St. Ambrose for the fighting bee invite.
