Bio

Jake Wallin was named the Head Coach of the Judson University Men's Volleyball Program in June of 2023. He previously served as the program's first graduate assistant and interim coach. Currently pursuing a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Wallin holds a bachelor's degree in psychology. As the longest-tenured member of the program, he served as a middle blocker spanning from the program's inaugural year in 2017 to his final season in 2021. He also served as a team captain for his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons.

In the 2022-2023 season, Wallin's leadership skills shone as he took on the role of interim head coach. Under his guidance, the team achieved an impressive 21-7 record and secured a second trip to the CCAC Championship. Before this, he also served as the graduate assistant coach during the successful 2021-2022 season, which saw the team finish with a 25-5 record. Wallin's commitment to fostering a positive and competitive environment has been instrumental in the program's growth and success.

Alongside his contributions to Judson University, Wallin has made a significant impact beyond the campus. He has served as a Varsity Assistant Coach at Woodstock High School, and he has also dedicated his time to coaching at the Junior Olympic and regional club levels with Sky High Volleyball Club, located in Crystal Lake, IL.

Throughout his career, both as a player and coach, Jake Wallin has displayed unwavering dedication to the sport and the holistic development of his players. With his profound understanding of psychology and an ongoing pursuit of a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, he brings a unique perspective to his coaching approach. Wallin's program records, including 227 blocks, 373 sets played, and 545 kills, reflect his contribution to the program's success. As Head Coach, he continues to inspire and shape the next generation of athletes, leaving a lasting impact on the Judson University Men's Volleyball Program.
