Eagles Fly To Another Quick Victory
Elgin, IL - The Judson Eagles had a two home game week this week, and wasted little time in both contests. On Tuesday night, JU cruised past Viterbo in just 69 minutes. On Thursday night, they hosted the Calumet Crimson Wave. This contest was not quite as efficient, as the Eagles needed 78 minutes to claim the win.
JU took home the three set victory 25-14, 25-18, 25-22. The Eagles now stand at 10-10 overall, and 4-3 in CCAC conference play. Judson is heading toward the home stretch with just six regular season games left before the conference tournament.
Mason Snodgrass had 11 kills, while Elijah Gregg added 10 kills. Elijah Wrobel ran the attack with 28 assists on the night.
The Eagles were credited with five service aces on the night. This match was much different then the first meeting back on February 24th. On that night, in Calumet, the Eagles were pushed to the brink in a five set victory. Judson would have none of that inside the Nest tonight.
These two home victories were very critical for the Eagles as they will be on the road for their next three games. They travel to St. Ambrose, Olivet Nazarene, and #2 ranked St. Xavier, all of whom were able to come into the Lindner Center the first time around, and claim wins over the Eagles. Judson will look to return the favor over the next 12 days as the end of the regular season is on the horizon.
Judson has two final home games remaining. April 3rd will be Staff Appreciation night, while April 12th will be senior night on campus.
