Four Eagles Named CCAC All-Conference Members; Wrobel Setter of the Year
Chicago, IL -- The Judson University Men's Volleyball Team had four individuals honored by the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference for their efforts this season. Elijah Wrobel and Brendan Gibbons were named First Team All-Conference members, while Elijah Gregg and Jackson Otto were named to the All-Conference second team. In addition, Wrobel was named the CCAC Setter of the Year.
Wrobel's 9.71 assists-per-set average led the league and currently ranks 11th in the nation. He also had the conference's third-best service ace average at 0.42. His other stats included 1.63 digs-per-set and 0.44 blocks-per-set.
Gibbons finished second on the team in kills with 207 and is top three on the team with a .349 attacking percentage. His 59 total blocks and 50 block assists were team highs while being among the team's best in service aces (16) and digs (47).
Gregg finished with a team-high 322 kills, which is also top-three in the conference in total kills. His team-leading 3.16 kills-per-set is also tied for fifth in the conference. He is one of three Eagles who played in all 102 total sets.
Otto replaced Judson's all-time leading digs leader Noah McConville and made the most of his freshman year as he led the team in digs with 279, and digs-per-set at 2.74. Otto placed first in the conference in total digs, while is fourth in the conference in digs-per-set.
"I am extremely proud of Elijah Wrobel, Brendan Gibbons, Elijah Gregg, and Jackson Otto for not only their performance on the court this year but also for their work ethic, which allowed them to receive these honors," said Interim Head Coach Jacob Wallin. "These are the types of players who are fully invested in volleyball and are always looking for ways to improve not only themselves but the program as a whole. Judson University Men's Volleyball has a bright future!"
