Judson Earns Four-Set Senior Night Victory Over Viterbo
Elgin, IL The Judson University Men's Volleyball Team took to the court on senior night and made the most of their efforts in a four-set win 25-16,25-16,22-25,25-22.
Greg Geake, the team's lone senior, was celebrated for his contributions to the Men's Volleyball Team over the course of the last three years. Beginning his career as a staple outside hitter for the Eagles, he transitioned to the right side this season. In the match, Geake was one of the three eagles to break the ten-kill mark finishing with ten. In addition to his kills, he also contributed two block assists.
Leading Judson on the attacking front was Elijah Gregg, who finished with 15 kills, and one block assists. He also led the team in digs in the middle back position, amounting to nine. The third Eagle to record ten-plus kills was Brendan Gibbons finishing with 11. Gibbons also added one block assist, a service ace, and a dig to the stat sheet as well. Torrin Ley started as the M2 for Judson, finishing with the highest hitting percentage of .875, scoring seven kills on eight attempts in addition to a block assist. Mason Snodgrass scored three kills, recorded five digs, and one assist.
Elijah Wrobel finished the night with 45 assists. He also had four kill attempts scoring three of them. In addition to kills and assists, Wrobel recorded four digs, two service aces, two block assists, and one solo block. Libero Jackson Otto finished the game with seven digs, an assist, and a service ace.
The Judson Athletic Department congratulates Greg on his accomplishments within the program in these last three years and are excited about what is to come in the future. The team returns to action on Thursday at Trinity International.
