Eagles Compete At Conference Championships
Davenport, IA - The Judson University Eagles showcased commendable performances at the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships held on February 8, 2025, at the Wellness & Recreation Center - St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. This indoor track and field event drew fierce competition from notable colleges including Olivet Nazarene, St. Ambrose, and St. Xavier among others.
In a remarkable showcase of talent and determination, Judson University athletes delivered notable performances across a variety of events. Chase Porsche set a new school record in the 5000 M event with a time of 15:20.52, securing a 5th place finish while also setting a record at the conference championship. Adding to the achievements, David Peterson broke the indoor school record in the 800 M event, posting a time of 1:59.36 and finishing 7th.
Field events also saw notable performances with Andre Hawkins achieving 10th place in the shot put.
On the racing track, key moments were marked by Trey Sheron, who finished 5th in the 60 m final, Chris Frazier who took 7th in the same event, and Chase Porsche who also placed 10th in the mile.
The Eagles are set to compete next at the Chicagoland Championships hosted on February 15, 2025, at North Central College in Naperville, IL. The team looks to build on their strong performances and continue their pursuit for excellence in upcoming events.
The following Athletes have also qualified for the NCCAA Outdoor Nationals with their times, jumps and throws thus far. Nationals will be held in Columbia, SC. All of these athletes are ranked Top 1-30 right now in NCCAA.
