School Records and Carter’s NAIA B-Standard Highlight Weekend at Indiana Tech

School Records and Carter’s NAIA B-Standard Highlight Weekend at Indiana Tech

Ft. Wayne, IN    Two school records were broken in the first official outdoor team meet of the season.

Camren Carter had a school record as he took first place in the 110m hurdles with a 14.70-second performance. This was also an NAIA B-Standard national-qualifying performance. Cassandra Uribe was the other school record breaker, finishing seventh overall in the 200-meter dash with a 26.12 time.

Also, in the 200-meter race, Josilyn Ballor finished 14th with a 26.93 time. She beat her seed time by almost a full second. In the 400, Danielle Gibson set a nearly two-second PR with a 1:03.84 time.

Judson had a pair of PRs in the 800 meters. McKinze Kearfott had a 2:38.47 time to place 14th, while Annah Dulaney finished in 25th with a 2:48.59 time.

Four runners excelled in the 1500-meters. On the women's side, Kasey Moreno had a  16-second PR with a 5:06 time to place sixth. Eva Serrato's 5:18.86 time was good enough for a 12th-place finish. For the men, Dylan Bledsoe finished in ninth with a 4:10.09 time, while Gage Fox's 4:16.94 time in the 1500 is a 10-second PR and a 16th-place finish.

One final PR came from Chase Porsche in the 5000m race, as his 16:03.30 time was a 15th-place finish on Saturday.

"I was very impressed with how the team came and competed in our opening meet for the whole team," said Head Coach Cam Knudsen. "Sometimes, after a long layoff as we had, people can be rusty, but the team was very focused and ready to go. A lot of PRs, the first meet of the outdoor season is very encouraging; both sprinters and distance runners got it done today."

Judson participates in the Wisconsin Lutheran Invite on Saturday in Milwaukee.
