CIOCHON, WAGNER, AND MILLER FINISH STRONG AT NAIA
GULF SHORES, AL – Three Judson track and field athletes competed well at the NAIA National Outdoor Track and Field championships held last weekend in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Meaghan Ciochon closed out an outstanding Judson athletic career by finishing 13th in the 5000 meter run. Ciochon qualified for the finals of this event with a time of 18:22.75 in the trials. In the final race, Ciochon ran a time of 18:30.81, which led to her highest individual finish at a NAIA championship event in her career.
Junior Jordan Wagner narrowly missed making the finals of the 800m run as she finished in 9th place in the trials when only the top 8 advanced to the final. Wagner's performance was a strong one as she ran a personal best time of 2:12.22 in her last race of the 2014 season.
Junior Sarah Miller also had a strong performance as she ran 11:41.36 in the 3000m Steeplechase trials to place 24th in the field of runners. This was Miller's second straight year to qualify for Nationals in this event.
