Several Personal Bests Achieved at Wisconsin Lutheran Invite
Milwaukee, WI The Judson University Men's and Women's Track and Field Teams participated in their second meet in four days as they traveled to Milwaukee to participate in the Wisconsin Lutheran Invite. Judson had several personal records achieved.
Amanda Charpentier recorded her personal best in the 200-meter dash with a 28.42 time to finish 15th. On the men's side, Dylan Chandler also broke his personal best in the 200 with a total time of 24.57 to place in the top 40.
Grace Garcia broke her personal best in the 1500 with a 5:39.61 time. Gage Fox's 5K run placed him ninth with a total time of 16:33.05. Kiwaun Seals broke his personal best with a fourth-place finish in the triple jump.
"The was the opening outdoor meet for most of the team, on theme with the rest of the season. We had some brutal weather conditions with gale-force winds that would gust at 50 mph. It was a really good effort from the team despite the conditions. To have athletes run personal best in these kinds of conditions is a testament to how much work they put in and how well they prepared themselves for the meet," said Head Coach Cam Knudsen. "The main thing we wanted from this meet was to get that competitive spark back. It was a long layoff for the majority of the team, so it was good to get back out there and compete."
Judson participates in the Wheaton Invite on April 23.
