CCAC Indoor Track & Field Championships Preview
Bourbonnais, Ill.—The Judson University Men's and Women's Indoor Track Teams head to Olivet Nazarene University this weekend to compete in the CCAC Indoor Track & Field Championships. Led by three-time National Champion and four-time CCAC Champion Anali Cisneros and All-American & six-time CCAC Champion Dan Becker, the Eagles look to record another strong conference finish while continuing to break numerous school records as the Eagles have broken 10 new records thus far in 2019. This meet will also serve as an important tune-up for the upcoming NAIA Indoor Championships for All-American Nayeli Cisneros and newcomer Maria Alarcon.
"We have a tremendous group of student-athletes on this team," said Joel Popenfoose, director of cross country & track and field. "Our preparation leading up to Conference has been solid, and our athletes are ready to produce some great performances this weekend. This will be an eye-opener for our first-year athletes but I think they will be up to the challenge."
The CCAC Championships kick off Friday afternoon at 1:00 pm with combined events and field events. The running events will follow at 4:00 pm. Saturday's schedule begins at 10:00 am with the conclusion of the Men's Heptathlon. Field and Running events begin at noon Saturday. The athletic department extends good luck to the track and field team this weekend.
