Judson Eagles Soar to Third Straight Win in South Carolina
HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Judson Eagles continued their dominant run, during their spring break trip, with a commanding victory over Marietta on March 12 at the Van Der Meer Tennis Academy. From the opening serve, the Eagles set the tone, securing the doubles point with convincing performances across the lineup.
The Eagles' doubles teams came out aggressive, quickly putting pressure on Marietta and securing an early advantage. Dominating all their matchups Judson was able to take the crucial doubles point and head into the singles with energy and confidence.
Carrying that momentum into singles play, Judson remained unstoppable, sweeping all six courts in straight sets. Chadd Kerrigan led the way at No. 1 singles, overpowering his opponent with big serving and his relentless attacks on the net. Joshua Bavich followed suit at No. 2, maintaining control from start to finish. Javier Sanchez, at No. 3, showcased his versatility, dictating points with his powerful forehand. Niel Hentrich and Brock Dawson, playing at No. 4 and No. 5 respectively, displayed composure and consistency, securing straight-set victories to complete the sweep.
With their third straight win in the books, Judson now turns its focus to a tough doubleheader on March 13. The Eagles will take on NAIA rival Midland, at 9 am at Bluffton High School, before facing off against Salve Regina later in the day. Looking to keep their winning streak alive, the Eagles are looking forward to two great games to finish up their spring break trip.
