Judson Begins 2023 Portion of Schedule with 6-1 Loss to Huntington
Ft. Wayne, IN The Judson University Men's Tennis team began their second half of the season on Saturday as the Eagles traveled to Northeastern Indiana to face Huntington. The Eagles fell by the score of 6-1.
Judson had two victories on the day. Joshua Bavich overcame a first-set loss to defeat his opponent 4-6, 6-0, 1-0 (8) in sixth singles. Judson's other win was in #1 doubles as William Barnes and Alex Veltkamp played together for the first time this season and earned a victory 6-4.
In #2 doubles, Bavich and Max Fortun took Huntington's second pair to a 7-5 contest. Chadd Kerrigan and Neill Pillai also only lost by a pair in #3 doubles 6-4. In singles play, Fortun took Huntington's #4 player to three sets after winning the second set 6-2.
Judson (3-3) faces Indiana Tech in Ft. Wayne on February 18.
