Men's Tennis Dominates MSOE to Give Bridel First Judson Victory
Milwaukee, WI . Judson University Head Tennis Coach Brett Bridel earned his first win with the Eagles on Friday as the Eagles defeated MSOE handily by the score of 9-0. Since the contest was played at an NCAA school, the traditional scoring format was used.
Alexandre Veltkamp led the Eagles in first singles match as he took charge with a pair of 6-1 set victories. Hugo La Hei took down Miguel Lopez by identical 6-4 sets. Max Fortun had a strong showing in the third singles with two 6-1 sets. William Barnes needed a tiebreak in the first set (7-5) before taking the second set 6-4. Julius Fortun won #5 singles by the scores of 6-2, 6-3. Antoine Adamiak rounded out the singles play with a pair of 6-1 set wins.
Doubles' play was dominant as well. Veltkamp and La Hei won 8-6 as the top doubles team. William Barnes and Antoine Adamiak took second doubles 8-5, while the Fortuns won third doubles by the score of 8-3.
Judson will next play Wheaton on September 13.
