Elgin, IL - In a battle of the top two teams currently in the CCAC standings, it was the Eagles getting the best of the Trolls 2-0 to take over first place.
Co-captain Gabriel Trevisan got the scoring starting three minutes with a goal from 30 yards out in a stunner.
The Eagles were able to play with that 1-0 lead for the majority of the game until the final three minutes when Noel Rodriguez put in the dagger to close things out.
Judson is now 7-3-3 overall, and 4-0-1 in conference play. Coming into the game, they were two points behind the Trolls for the top spot, and now leap frog them with five games to go in the regular season.
It was another shutout for Ivan Dominguez in goal, who was credited with six saves, and this Eagles' defense. It is the sixth shutout in the last seven games for this defense.
Judson will take on Viterbo at home on Saturday. Of the Eagles final five games, four of them will be at home.
